Old English— “therscold”: the first syllable means tramp or stomp as in passing through a doorway.

This also could imply stamping the feet noisely as one would do when knocking the mud or snow off… when happily back home.

A place of threshing, beating the grain off stalks, a space of transformation where kernel and chaff separate and possibilities of bread emerge…
